SCI-TECH DARESBURY’S POST-BBN WEBINAR
What can patent data tell us about the innovation of green technologies?
Hosted by Appleyard Lees
Event Content
In this talk, Appleyard Lees senior associate and patent attorney Paul Beynon, and patent attorney David Jasiewicz discuss innovation trends across several areas of green technology, using global patent filing data to measure activity. They will cover:
- Energy: Hydrogen | Batteries | Nuclear | Wind
- Food: Plant-based meat | Cultivated meat | Insect protein
- Materials: Bioplastics | Carbon capture | Plastics recycling
Our speakers will talk about the positive correlation between commercially valuable green technology and patent filing activity. They will examine which companies are leading innovation activity in the above areas, and where in the world innovation is occurring.
This discussion will be useful to founders and businesses innovating in any of the above technology areas, particularly those interested in understanding competitor activity in their fields.
The data and insights used in this talk come from the third edition of Appleyard Lees’ Inside Green Innovation: Progress Report.
