SCI-TECH DARESBURY’S POST-BBN WEBINAR
Cyber & Collaborative Research
Hosted by Lancaster University
Event Content
Digitalisation is touching every business and cyber security is of vital importance to all organisations.
Not only must every organisation protect itself but this is a high growth tech sector in its own right with potential for new and improved products, services and markets.
The Cyber sector also maps well onto other capabilities in the region such as defence, manufacturing, digital, health and the environment as well as enabling strengths in computing, maths, AI and quantum, to name a few.
Lancaster University is a national leader in the field of Security and Protection Science with a socio-technical cross disciplinary approach and the region has been announced as the base of the £5Bn National Cyber Force.
We have a growing number of regional projects linking themes across these sectors. To help businesses prepare for the R&D challenges and opportunities of Cyber we are running a Session after the Business Breakfast Network at Sci-Tec Daresbury on March 15th at 10.30am.
This seminar is relevant to science and technology orientated companies from all sectors interested in cyber related research and development challenges relevant to their business, products or services.
By attending this seminar you will:
- Begin to understand the challenges and opportunities of cyber security
- Appreciate the context of UK Government plans and regional investments
- Understand the expertise and facilities available from Lancaster University
- Be better prepared to respond appropriately in your business
- Be able to identify R&D opportunities and support needed for your projects
For businesses interested in collaborative research and funding, information and contacts will be provided within the university and its partners suited to supporting their projects.
