Located at Sci-Tech Daresbury, and funded by the UK Space Agency, the centre will be part of a network of six new regional business incubation centres in the UK, and will play a key role in the drive to grow the UK share of the global space market to 10% by 2030.

Michael Norris, Head of Business Incubation at STFC said:

“STFC has a strong track record in small business incubation, so we are thrilled to be setting up a brand new space business incubation centre here at Daresbury; it will be a fantastic opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs from across the North West to develop innovative new products to meet the needs of the UK Space sector, and to benefit from being involved in what is a multi-billion pound industry.”
