In early 2026, STFC will launch a new Cross-Cluster Proof of Concept Call, that will support innovative businesses based in the Liverpool City Region Life Sciences Innovation Zone to collaborate, develop, test and demonstrate the feasibility of novel technologies, products and services. The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has provided funding for this Proof of Concept Call through its Strategic Investment Fund.

The Cross-Cluster Proof of Concept Programme has supported over 300 organisations since inception, providing flexible grants to undertake early-stage business-led research and development, in collaboration with other businesses, science-led facilities or organisations.

At this breakfast event you will hear from the STFC team that leads the programme on how you can participate and benefit from this new grant funding call.

The event will provide the opportunity for businesses, the wider business support base, and other funders to discuss good practice and also ask any questions you may have about the fund.
